Shar Piper - Shar Piper Jewelry
I have long been a “Jack of all trades” and love to explore new techniques and art forms. As the art teacher at Islesboro Central School for many years it was a necessary survival straegy. Now retired, I love to spend uninterrupted hours making glass beads and metal components for my jewelry, painting in watercolors and learning to weave.
I enjoy playing with color, materials and design and am often inspired by Mother Nature, especially when I travel. My camera is a constant companion, recording fleeting details and compositions to appreciate and draw from later.
