R Kirk Moore - Artist & Painter
Born in 1951 in central New Jersey, Mr. Moore studied drawing under Frank Wright at George Washington University in 1973, majored in theology at Georgetown University, and subsequently studied painting under Leo Marchutz in Aix-en-Provence, France. These are the underpinnings of Mr. Moore’s art and have helped shape and influence his work. That, plus twenty-two years in a family trucking business in New Jersey, two marriages, five kids, ten grandchildren, seven and half years of living in New York City, twenty years of living on the coast of Maine and countless hours figuring it all out on canvas.
